What I think of the PC vs. Console

Every type of gaming forum I go to, I always see this ” LAWLZ CONSOLS R D SHETZ PC FTW KEKEKEKEKE :3″ I personally like both, but I find the little PC vs Console war quite dumb. PC is always going to be Superior in many ways such graphics, sound, controls, UI, and whatever else you can think of, but thats not always the case.
PC market will always be in high demand because a lot of games are released for it. Usually these games are way better than console games in every department, but with a PC you need to know what your doing. Lets say you have a nice, black e-machine and decide to possibly try out crysis, you pop it in, and your computer explodes. Then you go on to the nearest forum and scream QQ’sand whatnot. These people are usually those people that are too casual and dumb to know how a computer works so they convert to console. Now I’m not saying that console users are dumb, but I’m just saying how easy it is to work one. Buy the game, pop it in, play. No complications or requirements. PC on the other hand has a set requirements that your recommended to have to run a game or else it would look like your staring at a donkey’s ass, or it will just blow your computer up (no I doubt the latter.) PC has a lot more going for it if you do have the requirements. These games can kick doors down graphically compared to consoles, have a bit more control, and its just better in every department. Though if you want the best experience, you need the money and a bit of brains to get it. How much would a decent PC be to game for todays games? well a self built one could be around $700-800 minimum, without a monitor of course. More hardcore gamers are found on the computer, and for this reason is why I don’t like playing online. Its either you are good or you will be bent over.
Consoles have been my introduction to gaming, but the thing about consoles is that… they can do almost as much as a PC in terms of gaming. Most of their games aren’t nearly as pretty as the PC counterparts though. Consoles is pretty much mindless, you pick the controller up and you push a few buttons to do stuff. With a computer you have to learn the keys, but if you want to excel at a game, you need to know most of the major ones which is usually double or triple of a console controller. Console games to me are.. “good enough.” You can enjoy them, they look good, but it could be better. Yeah there’s the occasional console exclusive, but then it gets ported to the PC to either be loads better, or shit. Some games would probably harder to play on a computer than on a console, Gears of War being an example. I just could not be seeing myself running and rolling around, trying to annihilatemy opponent with a keyboard and mouse. Real Time Strategy on the other hand, is a different story. I would take a mouse and keyboard over a controller anyday, but the thing is people don’t understand the developers don’t want to go that way. They want to work around what they have, not make you have to buy more things to enjoy a game. It would be loads better, but its just they want to innovate. Console is more of a causal gamers gateway. Online can get competitive, but not nearly as bad as PC. I like consoles because I can just join a game online and have fun, not be irritated and lamed because I didn’t know I could use this button to get to something, so I end up losing because of it. Console market will continue to expand because in a way its cheaper short term, but long term would be a bit more than just going computer.
This is just my opinion on the current situation, and I just want to let that known before I have PC elitist tearing me a new one. Theres a lot of other things I didn’t say, but really thats the gist of it in my point of view.
